Super Eagles’ and Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder, John Ogu has attributed is new role at club as the reason behind his goal-scoring form, reports.
Ogu, who scored his second goal of the championship playoff over the weekend to maintain his team’s unbeaten run, however, said that he wants to maintain focus going into the last end of the season.
“It’s always a nice feeling to be on the score sheet. Hopefully, I can score more before the season ends. I think it’s the formation we playing now mostly. Playing with two central midfielders now, unlike playing as a defensive midfielder, gives me more freedom to attack.
“Hopefully, I can take this form to the national team because I think if we add that to our game, it will be a plus but my biggest priority in every game is to be focused 100% in defending and then scoring,” Ogu said.
