Nigerian star Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo has said he’s open to the chance of being called up to the Super Eagles in the future, and that it will be a dream for him to play for Nigeria.
Simy, who scored a fantastic overhead kick against Juventus during the week, told AOIFootball.com exclusively from his base in Italy, that escaping relegation with Crotone remains his focus for now.
“It was a great feeling to score and a result of hard work. Hopefully, we can take the same courage and commitment and approach our remaining games and beat the relegation zone.
“The World Cup is a dream but it can only be achieved by doing well for Crotone, so that’s my focus now but of course, I’m ready if called upon and if given the opportunity I will definitely not disappoint Nigerians,” Simy said.
The 25-year- old has featured in 18 games this season, starting 6, whilst also scoring 3 goals.
