Super Falcons’ forward, Francisca Ordega continued her impressive start to the new National Women Soccer League season when she grabbed her second goal for Washington Spirit against Portland Thorns away from home, reports.
The striker, who was on target last time out opened scoring for Spirit after 37 minutes when she reacted quickest to tuck home from a goal mouth scramble
to put her side 1-0 up.
However, the home team equalized on the stroke of halftime when Christine Sinclair stepped up to convert from 12 yards, thus drawing her side level going into the break.
Both teams pressed for a winner in the second half but were unable to break each other’s defence as the game ended 1-1.
The results leave Ordega and her side 5th on the log with four points after four rounds of matches.
