Super Eagles’ vice-captain, Eddie Ogenyi Onazi returned to the field of play for the first time in two weeks after fully recovering from a hamstring injury as he helped Trabzonspor to a hard-fought 2-1 win away at Antalyaspor, reports.
The former Lazio midfielder started his 15th league game of the season as his side came from a goal down to win the match with Burak Yilmaz and Yusuf Yazici providing the goals for the away team.
Onazi was on for the entire match duration and had a game rating of 6.5, completing 83% of his passes, whilst also making 4 clearances in the match.
He posted afterward expressing his delight after returning to the field of play.
“Very important victory away from home; feels really good to be back doing what I know how to do best. Thank you, Lord,” Onazi twitted.
