Two-time African champions, Enyimba of  Aba, we’re beaten 3-O by Congolese club, Atletique Renaissance Aiglons (CARA) in their group stage matchday 2 encounter at Stade Alphonse Massamba, Debat, reports.
The Congolese side enjoyed a relatively easy first half in the tie by scoring three goals within 20 minutes of the first half.
Racine Louamba gave the hosts the lead as early as the 14th minute. The home side piled on the pressure, as Cabawey Mereves Kivutuka doubled the lead for CARA in the 17th minute.
Dicha Bomanyae Liema scored the third for the hosts on the 19th minute which they held onto till the half-hour mark.
Enyimba, however, came out stronger and more determined in the second half, but the People’s Elephants could not find the back of the net of the hosts.
The Aba club will face Ivory Coast’s Williamsville on matchday 3.
