Simon against South Africa in 2019 AFCON Qualifier

News coming out the camp of the Super Eagles is not palatable as KAA Gent winger Moses Simon has been officially ruled out of the World Cup after a further test carried out indicates the player will be out for four weeks, can authoritatively report.

Earlier test done in Uyo indicated he was to be out for up to six weeks, as it was thought that he tore his tendon, but latest reports monitored by from the test conducted in London shows his tendon was not torn and he will be out for up to 3 to 4 weeks.

it is understood that Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr who was keen to have the dazzling winger for the tournament, has however bowed to the recent results which means Simon will not feature at the World Cup for Nigeria.

This means only two more players are expected to be dropped by the coach later tomorrow night after the team’s prestigious friendly against the Three Lions of England at the Wembley Stadium.
