General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr Sanusi Mohammed, has pleaded with Nigerians not to rate the Super Eagles with the outcome of its recent friendly games, because they are meant to assess the abilities of individual players, reports.

Speaking exclusively to after the team’s 1-0 loss to Czech Republic, Sanusi said friendly matches are an entirely different ballgame compared to competitions.
“Our players are being extremely careful not to get injuries that would rule them out of the World Cup. The players are not putting in the very best they have but are playing to make sure they understand themselves.
“We sat down and looked at areas where we have not been doing well in terms of preparations for the team and we decided to improve”, he stated.
Sanusi finally revealed that the fooball federation is trying to develop a policy and playing pattern that will be common to all the national teams.
Nigeria kickoff its World Cup campaign against Croatia on Saturday 16th June, 8pm local time.
