Super Eagles’ attacker, Victor Moses has admitted the team have been left battered by Saturday night’s 2-0 loss at the hands of Croatia in their opening Group D fixture while promising a much better outing against Iceland on Friday, AOIFootball.com reports.
The Chelsea winger, who started on the right side of the Eagles’ attack, watched on as an own-goal from Oghenekharo Etebo and a second-half penalty from Luka Modric was enough to put Nigeria bottom after the first round of matches.
“Disappointed with the result last night but we win together and lose together. We will dust ourselves down and be ready to fight again. We are working hard to put things right,” Moses twitted afterward.
With the loss to Croatia, Coach Gernot Rohr could be forced to switch to a 3-5-2 formation which could see Moses move back to his more comfortable right wing back which now seems like the perfect fit for the former Wigan star.
