Spanish outfit Celta Vigo are reportedly keen on the services of Super Eagles and Torino of Italy midfielder, Joel Obi after the club made contact with the player’s representative with the aim of completing the deal before the end of the World Cup in Russia, reports.
Obi is currently on international duty with Nigeria at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia and was earlier scouted by Crystal Palace but it now looks likely that the former Inter Milan youth product will now play his football next season in Spain with Celta very interested in him.
The 27-year-old could be available for a fee of around €4m after Torino revealed they are looking to free up space for a non-EU player in their squad with Obi looking increasingly certain to quit the club this summer.
Despite an injury-ravaged season, the midfielder still managed to put in a decent shift all season, scoring 6 goals in 25 league matches for the Granata last season.
