Ahead of their second group game in the ongoing 2018 World Cup against Iceland, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have settled down in their base in Volgograd, reports.

The Wings of African pride touched down at the Volgograd airport by 12:20 pm local team and proceeded to their Hampton by Hilton Hotel. 

The team will be looking to grab all three points at stake after finding themselves at the bottom of their group following their 2-0 loss to Croatia in their opening game. 

The team is expected to hold a press conference by 5pm at the Volgograd Stadium on Thursday.

The mood of the team clearly showed that they have put behind them the loss to the Europeans as they are looked cheerful and alive.

Earlier, team captain, Mikel John Obi, had promised that he and his teammates were ready to make up for their not too convincing display against Croatia, promising that he was ready to sacrifice all, including his position in the team to make sure Nigeria qualifies to the next round.
