Former Super Eagles’ gaffer, Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh, has implored all Nigerians both at home and abroad to rally around the Super Eagles and pray for them as they take on Iceland in their must-win or burst clash at the ongoing FIFA world cup, AOIFootball.com reports.
Oliseh, however, begged the Gernot Rohr- led boys to take their chances and return smiles to millions of Nigerians, especially after Croatia opened the second position spot wide open with the 3-0 thrashing of Argentina on Thursday night.
“I implore you, if there is ever a time when we all have to come together to pray and support the Super Eagles, it is today against Iceland. I believe our boys will win; they need our full backing and prayers.
“With Argentina faltering, a win could just usher us the path to the 2nd Round,” Oliseh twitted.
The Super Eagles will take on Iceland at the Volgograd Arena on Thursday by 4pm Nigerian time. A win throws them back in contention for a spot in the Round of 16.
