Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh, has hailed the performance of the Eagles as they got their world cup campaign back on track with an impressive 2-0 win over Iceland on Friday, reports.

Coming into the game on the backdrop of an opening day defeat to Croatia, the Eagles turned up the heat in the second half when speed demon, Ahmed Musa scored a brace to earn Nigeria their first three points in Russia.

An excited Oliseh took to the social media, moments after the Eagles’ victory to express his delight in their amazing performance.

“Our World Cup 2018 is on! Great result for the Super Eagles vs Iceland. The boys all did well, especially in the 2nd half. I’m particularly impressed with Musa, Ndidi, Uzoho, and Balogun.

“Great that you all supported and prayed like we implored earlier. Cheers guys,” Oliseh twitted.

Nigeria, however, have all to do when they take on wounded Argentina in their last group game on Tuesday 26 June.
