Arsenal and Super Eagles’ star, Alex Iwobi, has said that the team remains focused against their all-important clash against Argentina on Tuesday, AOIFootball.com reports.
Iwobi, who is making a dream World Cup appearance at the age of 21, said it was a great honour to be representing his country at the biggest football showpiece in the world.
“It has always been my dream to play at the biggest stage in the world and no stage is bigger than the World Cup. So I am happy to be here representing my country and it’s an honour.
“We are very confident, especially after a great result against Iceland. We are very confident and motivated so we are preparing well and hope to get a good result against Argentina as well,” Iwobi said.
The Super Eagles, who came from two goals down to defeat Argentina in a friendly in November 17, 2017 in Russia, will take on their familiar foes on Tuesday in their last Group D game at the St. Petersburg Stadium.
