After an impressive performance against Iceland in Nigeria’s second group game in the ongoing 2018 World Cup, Super Eagles’ defender, Abdullahi Shehu believes the team has all it takes and will get the job done against Argentina, reports.

Speaking to journalists after the team’s arrival their hotel in St Petersburg, Abdullahi said they were more confident and motivated to play on Tuesday against a Messi-led Argentina.

“Of course we have the confidence from the last game that we got a win so we are motivated. But we are not afraid of anything. We just have to go there and do the job,” Abdullahi said.

The player, who plies his trade with Bursaspor in Turkey, said the tactics against Iceland was good for the team, but noted that the coach will choose suitable tactics for the Argentina game.

He said: “It depends on the coach. You know it’s about what he wants. I think it’s good. The team really did well in the last game. You know this is a different game also. We are playing Argentina who are an attacking team so the coach will look at it and he will know what to do.

“Every player wants to play in the World Cup. I am here now and of course, I feel very happy. It is something I can never forget in my life,” Abdullahi concluded.
