Super Eagles’ Captain, Mikel John Obi has returned to China ahead of Tianjin Teda resumption in the CSL after the league went on break for the FIFA World Cup in May, AOIFootball.com can authoritatively confirm.

Mikel, who led Nigeria to her sixth world cup final, featured in all three matches of the Eagles as they crashed out from the group stage with three points from a possible nine.

Similarly, AOIFootball.com can also confirm that the midfielder is not expected to return to action anytime soon until he fully recovers from the wrist injury he suffered during the game against Iceland which Nigeria won 2-0.

A fit Mikel could, however, return for Tianjin Teda on their matchday 12 clash away to Shanghai Greenland on the 18th of this month as the team continues to push up the table for a decent finish, having been knocked out of the cup competition already.
