*Talks continue between the player and Crotone

Despite rumours emanating from several news agencies that Seria B side FC Crotone have slammed a €15 million price tag on Super Eagles’ striker Simeon Nwankwo, can authoritatively debunk such report as both parties are still in talks for the player’s future.

Simeon, 26, stunned the Seria A with eye-catching performances towards the end of last season, netting seven times in 11 starts and has one year left on his current contract and his almost expected to quit the team ahead of the new season.

A close source to the player revealed to this medium that there is no truth about a price tag on the player, insisting that both parties will settle for a reasonable fee for the player.

“For now, nothing concrete on his future; he has just one year left on his contract. But to say they are demanding for €15 million is outrageous.

“He wants to continue playing at the top but unfortunately, Crotone got relegated last season, so we will wait and see what happens,” the source disclosed.

Simy joined Crotone from Portuguese side Portimonense in 2016 and has one year left on his current contract but he is almost expected to quit Crotone following their relegation last season.
