*Team depart Abuja for Mauritania Thursday
Flying Eagles’ Head Coach, Paul Aigbogun remains confident that his troops will make the nation proud when they file out for their first leg, third round qualifiers against fellow West African brothers Mauritania, AOIFootball.com reports.
The team, which defeated Guinea Bissau 3-2 in the previous round, have been in camp for a couple of weeks intensifying preparation for the clash and departed the shores of the Country on Thursday morning ahead of the clash on Saturday.
Speaking shortly before their departure, Paul Aigbogun noted that his team are very much prepared and won’t underrate their opponents come match day.
“We are prepared for the clash. We know how difficult it will be for us, but my boys will make the nation proud. We have studied them a bit and we know what to expect, so we will be ready for them on Saturday.
“We want to get a positive result away so we can come back to Nigeria and consolidate on it,” Aigbogun concluded.
