Nigerian forward, Paul Onuachu opened his season account for his Danish club FC Midtjylland as they lost 2-1 away at early leaders AaB on Friday night, reports.

The youngster, who was instrumental to his side’s title triumph last season, opened scoring three minutes to half-time when he superbly nodded in an Erik Sviatchenko cross to score their first goal of the new campaign.

The home team, however, fought back in the second period and deservedly levelled matters through Rasmus Thellusten in the 52nd minute before Jannik Pohl secured AaB the maximum points with three minutes of normal time left.

The result leaves the defending champions 9th on the league table with just a solitary point from their first game, whilst AaB remains unbeaten after two matches.
