Super Eagles’ forward, Henry Onyekuru came off the bench to score his first goal for new club, Galatasaray but it was not enough to see off Valencia in their second pre-season friendly, AOIFootball.com reports.
Goals from Ruben Vezo (36) and Antonio Lato (52) put Valencia in a comfortable 2-0 lead before Onyekuru was introduced just after the hour mark for Selcuk Inan.
The attacker duly made his presence felt seven minutes after his introduction as he calmly converted a pass from a teammate to half the deficit.
The Everton loanee posted afterwards that he was delighted to have scored his first goal for his new club and wants to get back to scoring form quickly.
“Pre-season continues. It was great to score my first goal for the club. Seems like so long ago. I can’t wait to get used to this feeling again,” Onyekuru said.
