New Galatasaray and Super Eagles’ forward, Henry Onyekuru has said he is optimistic of returning to his brilliant goalscoring form ahead of the new season, following his lone strike against Spanish top division outfit, Valencia, AOIFootball.com reports.
The former GBS academy prodigy made this assertion exclusively to AOIFootball, insisting that he’s ready to work hard and earn his place in the Turkish club’s starting lineup, despite competition from experienced centre-forward, Bafetimbi Gomis.
“I feel great after such a long time; the feeling of having to be on the score sheet again is amazing and I hope to take it into the new season.
“Obviously, training here has been a little bit different but I have been showing what I can do. Breaking into the first team will be difficult but I’m determined to give it my all and help the club to win laurels this season,” Onyekuru concluded.
