Super Eagles’ defender, Shehu Abdullahi has expressed his delight after returning to training with his club Bursaspor ahead of the new Turkish League, reports.

Shehu, 25, joined Bursaspor last January from Cyprus club Anorthosis and went on to feature in 14 games, playing mostly as a midfielder before being selected in Nigeria’s final 23-man World Cup squad.

The defender took to the social media on Monday to express his joy after returning to the Bursaspor family. He said:

“Feels great to be back training with my teammates ahead of the new season! Preseason in full effect.”

The Rio 2016 Olympic bronze medalist will hope to continue his impressive form as he is ranked as one of the best Bursaspor players last season, completing 80% of his passes, 93% of his dribbles, and winning an average of 4.1 tackles, completing 2 clearances and winning 6 duels per game.
