Former U-17 World Cup-winning captain Kelechi Nwakali has expressed his joy after training with the Porto’s main team officially on Wednesday ahead of the new Portuguese League season, reports.

The 20-year-old Arsenal loanee, who has been touted as a direct replacement for current Eagles’ captain Mikel Obi, trained alongside fellow Nigerians Mikel Agu and Musa Yahaya who both joined him in Wednesday’s training.

After the day’s workout, the attacking midfielder told that he was happy with the training and hopes to get better in the coming days.

“It was nice meeting with the rest of the squad today; the training was good generally and the players welcomed me well,” Nwakali said.
