Super Eagles’ forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was on target for the second consecutive game in Leicester City’s 1-1 draw against Valencia in a preseason friendly, reports.

Iheanacho, who scored in Leicester’s previous friendly against Udinese, opened the scoring 11 minutes into the clash after some fine attacking play from James Maddison eventually saw the ball fall to him. He rifled a first-time shot past Jaume Domènech to put the Foxes ahead.

However, the La Liga outfit responded well and it was Parejo who was on target for Valencia when he calmly slotted into the bottom corner eight minutes after Iheanacho’s opener.

Further efforts from Iheanacho and Super Eagles’ teammate Wilfred Ndidi followed, proved abortive as both teams were unable to get a breakthrough before halftime.

Manager Claude Puel would then wring changes after the hour mark, notably introducing Layton Ndukwu, who forced Neto into an excellent save; the match ended 1-1 on the night.

Iheanacho has now scored two goals in his last two preseason outings and looks in promising form ahead of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.
