Super Eagles’ striker, Odion Jude Ighalo was again on target for the second time in less than five days in Changchun Yatai’s hard-fought 1-1 draw at home to Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, AOIFootball.com reports.
Still smarting from his brace at the midweek, Ighalo led his team out for the fifteenth game of the season. Changchun had however fallen behind after Yunding Cao put the away side ahead just after the hour mark, converting from an Oscar Romero cross.
With defeat staring them in the face, the Changchun’s in-form striker equalised after 71 minutes, converting from Nemanja Pejcinovic to draw his team level.
The goal was Ighalo’s 12th of the season after just sixteen games, 3 shy of the 15 he scored the last term as he bids to become the league’s top scorer.
Ighalo was on for the entire match duration and was voted the man of the match with a game rating of 7.8, completing 100% of his dribbles, 87% of his passes and winning 10 of his 18 duels contested.
