Super Eagles’ attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho is expected to lead the attack line for Leicester City in their first game of the 2018/2019 Premier League season away at Manchester United, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 21-year-old attacker has been top form in their preseason tour, scoring against Udinese, Valencia and Lille.
But with Coach Puel confirming that striker Jamie Vardy will not be available for the Old Trafford clash, Iheanacho will most definitely be the perfect replacement for the England star.
Ihenacho linked up perfectly with the duo of Marc Albrighton and James Maddison in games against Valencia and Lille, as both players will most likely continue to partner the Nigerian upfront.
The Nigerian joined Leicester City for around £25 million last season from Manchester City and contributed 10 goals in all competition (7 goals and 3 assists) and will definitely look to start the season on a high against a Jose Mourinho’s disjointed Manchester United.
There could also be a surprise inclusion for Layton Ndukwu in the matchday squad following his impressive display during the preseason, whilst regular face Wilfred Ndidi will most definitely start at the heart of the Foxes’ midfield.
