Super Eagles’ forward, Henry Onyekuru is hoping for an injury-free season whilst promising to also score goals for his new club Galatasaray ahead of their first game of the season against newcomers Ankaragücü on Friday, AOIFootball.com reports.

The 21-year-old Everton loanee was highly impressive in pre-season, scoring twice and adding another assist.

He told AOIFootball.com exclusively that he’s confident of his ability to deliver both on the domestic and European front.

“First I’m praying for an injury-free season and aiming for high performance with goals both in the league and Champions League, and hopefully cap it up with a trophy or two.

“The league is a new one for me but I believe I can adapt quickly. We have a game on Friday after the Super Cup loss last weekend; hopefully, I can make my competitive debut,” Onyekuru concluded.

Defending champions Galatasaray will begin the defence of the title they won last season, with a clash away at newly promoted Ankaragücü, with Onyekuru likely to make his competitive debut.
