Super Eagles’ forward, Henry Onyekuru is hoping for an injury-free season whilst promising to also score goals for his new club Galatasaray ahead of their first game of the season against newcomers Ankaragücü on Friday, reports.

The 21-year-old Everton loanee was highly impressive in pre-season, scoring twice and adding another assist.

He told exclusively that he’s confident of his ability to deliver both on the domestic and European front.

“First I’m praying for an injury-free season and aiming for high performance with goals both in the league and Champions League, and hopefully cap it up with a trophy or two.

“The league is a new one for me but I believe I can adapt quickly. We have a game on Friday after the Super Cup loss last weekend; hopefully, I can make my competitive debut,” Onyekuru concluded.

Defending champions Galatasaray will begin the defence of the title they won last season, with a clash away at newly promoted Ankaragücü, with Onyekuru likely to make his competitive debut.
