Super Eagles’ winger, Moses Simon has revealed that a slight knock he picked up during training ruled him out of Levante’s season opener against Real Betis, reports.

The Eagles’ star, who has been handed the No. 7 Jersey, told exclusively that he was not surprised his side started the season on a high with a 3-0 thumping of host Real Betis inside the Estadio Benito Villamarin.

“I missed our first game of the season against Betis due to a slight injury but it is not that serious. I got a small knock in training and the doctors advised that I should sit out the clash.

“I’m obviously gutted to miss the game but I’m glad we recorded our first win of the season, I am actually not surprised we won with such a scoreline because we were well prepared for the game and we were also lucky on the night,” Moses concluded.

Levante began 2018/2019 LaLiga season with an impressive 3-0 away win at Betis with goals from Roger in the 38th minute, Jose Morales in the 54th and 90th minutes.
