Nigeria’s representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup Enyimba have shot to second place Group C after they shocked hosts Djoliba of Mali 1-0 in a decisive game on Sunday night in Bamako, AOIFootball.com reports.

The team from Aba now have nine points from five matches, same as leaders CARA Brazzaville, who earlier today defeated Williamsville AC of Cote d’Ivoire 3-1.

Next up for the People’s Elephant is Congolese side CARA in a final group game on August 30 in Aba.

Faruk Mohammed tucked away a 90th minute penalty for ‘The People’s Elephant’ after striker Sunday Adetunji was brutally hacked down inside the box on his way to goal.
