Super Eagles’ striker, Henry Onyekuru scored his first goal of the season for Turkish club, Galatasaray as they laboured to a hard fought 1-0 win at home to Göztepe SK at the Turk Telecom Stadium, reports.

The Eagles’ star, who started his second consecutive league match, scored an absolute beauty of a goal when he turned defence into attack to hand his side the all-important three points.

The match’s only goal came after 42 minutes when Onyekuru swiftly carried the ball on his head before exchanging passes with Fernando Reges, with the Nigerian emphatically lobbing the goalkeeper from 30 yards to hand Galatasaray their second straight win of the season.

The Everton loanee featured for all 90 minutes, earning a game rating of 7.5, completed 75% of his passes, won three duels and was fouled three times.
