Super Eagles’ defender, William Troost-Ekong made an impressive debut in the Serie A with new club Udinese as they recovered from two goals down to draw 2-2 away at Parma, with Ekong playing all 90 minutes, AOIFootball.com reports.
The Nigerian international started at the heart of Udinese’s defence despite joining the club a few days earlier.
They, however, went down by two goals before strikes from Rodrigo De Paul (65) and Seko Fofana (69) ensured both sides shared the spoils of the day.
Ekong said afterward that he was happy to make is debut whilst also praising his team for having the courage to recover from two goals down.
“Happy to make my debut for Udinese tonight. Great fighting spirit from the boys to take home a point. We will build on this! #ForzaUdine,” Ekong posted.
The former Bursaspor defender had a game rating of 6.6, making 5 clearances, 2 interceptions and winning 100% of his tackles.
He also won 3 of his five duels contested whilst also completing 85% of his passes.
