SC Paderborn of Germany defender, Jamilu Colin’s is delighted after being handed a debut call-up by Eagles’ manager Gernot Rohr ahead of next month’s clash against Seychelles, AOIFootball.com reports.
The former Abuja Football College Academy prodigy further admitted that he has always dreamed and prayed for an opportunity to the national team, whilst promising to hit camp on the first day of resumption.
“I’m really happy for the opportunity to play for Nigeria because I have always prayed and hoped that one day I will receive a call-up to play for my fatherland. I have trained hard for it and I’m super excited.
“I’m already looking forward to meeting the players and will arrive on the first day of camping,” Jamilu enthused.
Jamilu is one of three new faces called up to the squad and is expected to provide competition for left-back Bryan Idowu after the exclusion of veteran Elderson Echijile from the squad.
