Ahead of Saturday’s must-win clash against the Pirates of Seychelles, Nigeria’s Super Eagles’ he!d their first training on Wednesday morning after holding a recovery session on Tuesday evening around the beach, AOIFootball.com reports.
The Eagles’ were boosted by the arrival of goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi who joined the team late Tuesday night bringing the total number of players in camp to 20.
Meanwhile, Isreal- based John Ogu is expected to arrive at the team’s camp Wednesday after been spotted at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, with the player expected to arrive later in the day.
Coach Gernot Rohr will have a pool of 21 players in total to work with following the withdrawal of Williams Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina and Alex Iwobi who have all pulled out through injury.
Nigeria will square up against Seychelles at 10,000 –capacity Stade Linite in a Group E, Match Day 2 encounter on Saturday, with kickoff set for 4.30pm local time (1.30pm Nigerian time).
