Seychelles national team Head Coach, Gavin Jeanne, believes his boys are not under pressure heading into Saturday’s 2019 AFCON qualifier against Nigeria, AOIFootball.com reports.
Jeanne, who was speaking ahead of the game, said they are looking forward to a famous victory against Nigeria and that his boys will take each game as they come, starting with Saturday’s home tie against Nigeria.
“We don’t want to think that far; we just want to focus on the next game and not the AFCON itself. We have the game against Nigeria on Saturday and we want to win it and move to the next one and see if we can qualify.
“My expectation for my players is to give the best and maybe one of them can impress and prove to the world that they can play at the highest level,” Gavin told Kwese ESPN.
The Pirates of Seychelles lost their opening fixture to Libya and will fancy their chances against a spirited Nigerian team as they bid to reach the tournament proper in Cameroon next year.
