Super Eagles’ speed demon, Ahmed Musa has hailed his side’s impressive 3-0 victory away at Seychelles on Saturday, saying that he was also happy to be on the score sheet, AOIFootball.com reports.
Musa captained the Eagles in the absence of Captain Mikel John Obi and scored the first goal of the encounter after rifling home a powerful shot with his left foot. The goal was his 17th for the senior national team.
The Al-Nassr forward posited afterwards that the victory now puts Nigeria in a good position to qualify for the Nations Cup in Cameroon next year.
“Great team victory! 3 points to help us qualify for the African Cup of Nations. Happy to get a goal. Up Eagles,” Musa posted.
Musa has now scored three times in his last four outings for Nigeria, making him the country’s most in-form striker.
