Super Eagles’ and Galatasaray of Turkey forward, Henry Onyekuru believes a good start in this season’s UEFA Champions League will help his team ahead of their subsequent matches in the group stage, reports.

Galatasaray have been drawn in Group D alongside Lokomotiv Moscow, Porto and Shalke and will begin their quest with a home game against Lokomotiv on Tuesday with Onyekuru optimistic of a good outing in front of their fans.

“The whole team are gearing up for the match already. We are working really hard for the victory and will surely make our fans happy because it’s always good to start on a positive note.

The Eagles striker was tipped by UEFA to lead Africa’s goal charge in this season’s competition, but Onyekuru revealed it will be an honour if he is able to achieve such a feat in the competition.

“Scoring in a competition of this magnitude will always be a joy for any player. I will just take my chances and help Galatasaray advance to the next round of the competition,” Onyekuru concluded.
