As the 2018/2019 Champions League season begins on Tuesday, no fewer than four Super Eagles players are expected to feature for their respective clubs, with the likes of Chidozie Awaziem and Bryan Idowu targeting their first start of the season, reports.

In Turkey, Henry Onyekuru will most definitely return to the starting lineup as he targets his first goal in the elite league when Russian champions Lokomotiv Moscow visit the Turk Telkom Stadium to take on Galatasaray.

However, the same cannot be said of left-back Bryan Idowu who has struggled to tie down a shirt with the Russian champions since his move from Amker Perm, but the World Cup star will be hopeful he can do enough to get his first minute in the Champions League.

At the Jan Breydel Stadium in Brugges, Nigerian youngster Dennis Emmanuel will be eyeing his first appearance in the Champions League when Club Brugge hosts German side Borrussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening, with Brugge hoping to maintain their 100% start to the season despite being underdogs going into the match.

Dennis has been in impressive form this season, scoring twice in just 4 league starts and will most definitely want to mark his debut with a goal for the home side.

Moving over to the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Eagles’ defender Chidozie Awaziem will be hoping to make his first appearance for FC Porto when they travel to Germany to face Shalke 04 in their first group clash.

Awaziem has been basically a squad player since his return from Nantes where he spent last season on loan, however, the defender his yet to feature for the Portuguese giants’ and will most definitely fancy his chance against Schalke on Tuesday night.

Midfielder Kelechi Nwakali was not in the squad and will most definitely miss the clash as well as B teammate Musa Yahaya.
