The Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna will host three-time African champions Nigeria and the Mediterranean Knights of Libya in next month’s AFCON qualifiers, can confirm.

The Eagles are third in the group following their 3-0 win over Seychelles earlier this month and will play host to Adel Amrouche’s boys on Friday, October 12 before flying to Tunis four days later for the return leg.

Confirming the venue of the must-win clash, media officer of the team, Mr. Toyin Ibitoye posted that the match will be played in Kaduna ahead of other proposed venues for the clash.

“Nigeria vs Libya, Friday, October 12, 2018, Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna. Kick-off: 5:30 pm,” he posted.

Libya currently leads the group with 4 points from 2 games and will be seeking their first victory in a decade over the Nigerian team that are well poised to pick up the vital three points in front of thousands of Kaduna fans.
