Super Eagles’ forward, Victor Osimhen scored his first professional league goal on Saturday, helping RCS Charleroi to a 1-1 draw away from home, AOIFootball.com reports.
Osimhen, who was starting his first game of the season after two previous substitute appearances, opened the scoring for the away side in the first half after being set up by Adama Niane, before they where pecked back by the hosts in the second half.
He told AOIFootball.com exclusively afterwards that he was happy with the goal and will continue to thrive for more goals to help lift his team.
“Happy with my first professional league goal; I waited a long time for it and I’m glad it came. I will now work hard to do more because I’m hungry for more goals, Osimhen said.
The result means Charleroi are yet to taste defeat in any of the three games the Nigerian has featured this term.
The club is 10th on the log with 8 points from 8 games.
