Nigerian striker Stephen Odey was the hero for his Swiss club FC Zürich, netting the winner in their slim one nil victory over visiting FC Luzern, reports.
The former MFM of Lagos player was starting his 5th league game of the campaign and led the attack for the hosts who struggled to create clear-cut chances as the first period ended goalless.
Odey, however, stepped up the tempo and duly gave his side the important three points, 10 minutes after the restart after being set up by Benjamin Kololi.
The win is his side’s their third of the season and it moves them to 4th on the log.
The goal was Odey’s 2nd league of the season and 33% of Zurich’s league goals (2 of 6) this term.
