Super Eagles’ and Difaa El-Jadidi of Morocco striker, Anthony Okpotu has revealed he’s working hard to recover from the injury he sustained two months ago, playing down fears it might affect his season for El-Jadidi, reports.
The former Lobi Stars forward has been out with a groin injury since July. He told exclusively that he is hopeful of returning to action by mid-October.
“I’m currently recovering well from the injury. I’m yet to start any training but the doctors have said I should be ready by the middle of next month.
“For now, I’m optimistic of returning stronger; the team is doing well because we are top of the league after two games, so hopefully I will return to help boost our attack,” Okpotu revealed.
The former NPFL goal king made his debut for the club in July’s Champions League Group B clash against ES Setif and will be looking forward to his first league outing with his new team next month.
