Super Eagles’ midfielder, Mikel Agu is expected to make his league debut for Portuguese side Vitoria Setubal ahead of their matchday six fixture away to Vitoria Guimaraes on Sunday at the Estadio D. Alfonso Henriques in Guimaraes, AOIFootball.com reports.
Agu, 25, rejoined the modest Portuguese outfit on loan from FC Porto, making his debut for them in the 3-3 draw against CD Nacional in the Taxa de Liga, a fortnight ago.
He was, however, unavailable for their league clash last weekend against FC Porto due to the clause in his contract which barred him from playing against his parent club.
The midfielder first laced his boots for Setubal in the 2016/2017 season and made 27 appearances, guiding them to a 12th place finish on the log.
His return will, however, be a boost for Head Coach Lito Vidigu who will be happy to have the Nigerian international available for selection.
Setubal are currently in the second half of the table with four points from their opening five games and will target all three points against their opponents who are just two spots above them on the league table.
