Nigerian forward, Tosin Aiyegun was the star for Latvian side FK Ventspils in their 2-0 win over FK Jelgava, scoring twice in the process, reports.

The home side struggled to create any meaningful impact with former U-17 midfielder Yakubu Alfa coming close to breaking the deadlock in the first half.

However, the home side did earn the much-needed victory when Tosin put them ahead after 74 minutes before the Nigerian again doubled their lead from the penalty spot eight minutes from time.

The goal was the 30-year-old’s 11th of the season, two short of the current top goal scorer and former teammate Adeleke Akinola who left for IK Start during the summer.
