Nigerian international, Sylvester Igbonu was the hero for FK UFA as they earned their second victory of the season defeating newcomers Yenisey Krasnoyarsk 2-1 at home, reports.
UFA are currently dangling in the relegation zone and fell behind after 35 minutes when Mikhail Kostyukov put the visitors ahead with Krasnoyarsk going into the break.
The home side came into the second half with more zeal and deservedly got their equalizer forty seconds after the restart when Vyacheslav Krotov equalized for them before Igbohun scored the winner with 20 minutes left after being set up by Oliver This.
The goal was Igbonu’s second of the season and the win lifts UFA to 13th on the table with 8 points from 9 games played so far.
The Nigerian was on for the entire match duration, earning a game rating of 7.0, completing 68% of his passes and winning seven of his 12 duels contested.
