Super Eagles’ midfielder, John Ogochukwu Ogu will be targeting his maiden victory of the season with Hapoel Be’er Sheva when they welcome in-form Macabbi Petach Tukva to the Toto Turner Stadium in Beersheba on Saturday evening, reports.
Defending champions Be’er Sheva are winless after their first five league outings, scoring just twice in the process with Ogu one of the two goal scorers.
However, the midfielder, whose contract runs down at the end of the season, admitted after Monday’s draw against Maccabi Haifa that the team will start churning out impressive results to help put smiles on the faces of their fans.
Ogu and his team will need to be at their brilliant best when they host the boys from Maccabi who are yet to lose a match, with Be’er Sheva needing to rediscover their scoring form following the departure of Anthony Nwakaeme to Trabzonspor.
Be’er Sheva are currently 11th on the league standings with four points after drawing 4 of their opening 5 league matches.
