Super Eagles’ striker, Victor Osimhen scored his second league goal of the season but could not lift Sporting Charleroi to all three points as they fell 2-1 away to Cercle Brugge, reports.
Two quick-fire goals in the space of one minute set up a really tense encounter with the home side first taking the lead via the boot of Dylan de Belder on the 31st minute before Osimhen equalised 40 seconds later after being put through by Stergos Marinos as both teams went into the break level.
However, an own goal from Martos three minutes after the interval gave Brugge the lead as they walked home with all three points.
The strike was Osimhen’s second in just three league starts as he continues to work his way back into national team reckoning.
The result leaves RC Sporting Charleroi 10th on the league standing with 11 points from 10 games.
