Ahead of Nigeria’s double header AFCON 2019 qualifier against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya, Super Eagles’ Coach Gernot Rohr has backed his players to deliver the maximum three points, urging them to go for the kill at home in Uyo and Tunis, reports.

The Franco-German, who guided his wards to the last World Cup in Russia further believes the team can draw a huge motivation from last year’s double header crunch clashes against Cameroon where they defeated the Central Africans 4-0 in Uyo before playing out a 1-1 draw in Yaoundé.

“We know how the game against Libya is important to all of us. The players want to be in the Nations Cup next year because you already know we did not go to the last two editions. So they will all be motivated to get the needed result.

“I believe we can get the maximum points from this game and boost our chances of qualifiers; last year during the World Cup qualification we did a good job against Cameroon, so I’m confident they boys invited will replicate the same kind of performance,” Rohr concluded.

The Super Eagles will regroup on Monday 8th of October for the first leg of the double header in Uyo on Saturday 13 October before flying to Tunis for the second leg on Tuesday 16 October.
