Ahead of his side double header Afcon 2019 qualifiers against the Mediterranean Knight’s of Libya, Super Eagles’ head coach Gernot Rohr has revealed he’s happy to have the duo of Alex Iwobi and Moses Simon backer after the both missed last month qualifier’s against Seychelles, report’s.
Iwobi missed Nigeria’s last game due to injury but has since returned to fantastic form with London club Arsenal, whilst Moses Simon who missed last June’s FIFA World Cup in Russia returns to the squad for the first time in five month’s.
Speaking at the Eagles’ media chart before the game, the Franco-German posited that both players return will add more bite to the team’s attack.
“It is wonderful that Moses Simon recovered following his injury before the World Cup”.
“There is joy in my heart for the return of Alex Iwobi to the team. He has been performing very well for Arsenal in the English Premier League,” Rohr said.
