Super Eagles’ right-back Shehu Abdullahi has been ruled off Nigeria’s crunch return leg against Libya on Tuesday following an Achilles injury he suffered on Saturday when Nigeria defeated their opponents 4-0 in Uyo, reports.
Abdullahi only recently made his return to the Eagles but was replaced by Ola Aina after 21 minutes, having been unable to continue due to an injury sustained.
“Great to get the 3 points and help the team. Unfortunately, my injury has ruled me out of the next game but I’m sure my Eagles will continue to soar,” Abdullahi posted whilst confirming his absence from the game.
Nigeria will however not be short of options on the right-hand side of the defence with one of either Ola Aina or Kenneth Omeruo likely to take his place, whilst the team could also revert to a back three as plan B for the clash.
