Nigerian forward Paul Onuachu was in imperial form on Saturday in Denmark, netting a hat-trick for FC Midtjylland in their 4-1 demolition of FC Norsdjælland away from home, reports.

The 24-year-old attacker opened scoring three minutes past the half-hour mark to put Midtjylland one goal up going into the halftime break.

The home side, however, equalised five minutes after the restart when Ghanaian forward Godsway Donjon scored to make it 1-1, but their joy was shortlived as Onuachu scored the second time, three minutes later after being set up by Awer Mabil.

The Nigerian then got his hat-trick and the match ball when substitute Rilwan Hassan played him through on goal on the 73rd minute with Onuachu making no mistake to fire home his seventh league goal of the season.

The Nigerian was however withdrawn a few minutes later to a standing ovation before Evander completed the scoring four minutes from time, with the away side running out 4-1 winners.

The win solidifies FC Midtjylland’s grip on top of the table with 28 points from 13 games, three ahead of Kobenhavn who have played a game less.
