Super Eagles’ forward, Henry Onyekuru returned to action for the first time in a fortnight but could not inspire Galatasaray to all three points as they let a two-goal lead slip away to draw Fenerbahçe at home, AOIFootball.com reports.
In what was the biggest game of the weekend in the Turkish League, Ryan Donk put the hosts ahead just after the half-hour mark before Martin Lines doubled their lead four minutes into the second half with Galatasaray holding a 2-0 lead.
Down but not out, Fenerbahçe got back into the game six minutes after the hour mark when Matthew Valbuena profited from a VAR decision to slam a penalty kick beyond Muslera before Valbuena then turned provider for Jailson to unleash a curler six minutes later to equalize for the visitors.
Both sides pushed for a late winner but failed to find the breakthrough with Onyekuru replaced four minutes from time for Sofianne Feghouli.
The Nigerian no doubt had a decent game and had a game rating of 6.5, completing 73% of his passes, making one clearance and winning 100% of his tackles.
